We have valued estates ranging from $1 million to nearly $1 billion in value, and have successfully defended taxpayers at audit. Our experience includes all types of businesses from real estate and securities - backed Family Limited Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies, to multi-million dollar complex manufacturing and service companies.

A national valuation firm prepared a draft valuation for a large manufacturing business, assigning a value of $330 million. The estate's attorneys, suspecting an unreasonably excessive value, hired DeLisi & Ghee to do a thorough review and, ultimately, a new valuation.

After employing several recognized methodologies not used by the national firm, DeLisi & Ghee completed the assignment and rendered an opinion of value at $200 million. Ultimately, the estate was audited with the IRS claiming a value in excess of $400 million!

After 10 months of rebuttals, negotiations and meetings, the value of the business was settled at $220 million, $110 million below the initial appraisal and nearly $200 million below the IRS starting point. In the end, DeLisi & Ghee's fully documented, logical, and defensible valuation report delivered a successful result for the taxpayer.
